Dear Member / Customer,
I would like to thank all our customers, members and volunteers for all your messages of support and kind comments about the Community Leisure Centre during this difficult time.
These are extremely heart-warming to hear and it is comforting to know that you hold the Centre in such high regard and appreciate the services and facilities we offer you all.
We desperately did not want to close but the decision was the right one given the government’s subsequent requirement for all Fitness Gyms and Leisure Centres to close at midnight on the 20th March.
Also, apologies to those that may have received on Saturday, a repeat copy of our first Centre update saying we were staying open as long as possible – this was sent in error.
We are CLOSED as notified in our second update issued and will remain closed until further notice.
We have now ‘frozen’ all our memberships, but many of you have contacted us to say you want us to continue collecting your membership payments.
This is a very generous gesture, which will definitely help us financially, but we would only want you to do this if you can genuinely afford to do so.
We fully appreciate not all our members will be in this position, but if you do want us to continue to collect your monthly fee, please email Julie, our Asst Centre Manager – Operations at firstname.lastname@example.org
to confirm this and we’ll keep collecting your payment.
We are also receiving many offers of voluntary help if needed – again another wonderful gesture of support. We will be looking over the coming days and weeks how best to utilise these offers and will keep issuing updates as things progress.
We will keep posting information and messages via our Facebook and Web site pages together with emails to all our members like these to keep in touch. Arrangements are being made to offer our members access to classes and tutorials on line to help you keep fit and active.
Keep looking for when these come available.
Thank you on behalf of all the staff, volunteers and trustees for all your support and please continue to keep safe.
